5 Year Anniversary

Who knew where God would lead us and our little ministry!

Over the course of 5 years, we went from being a small parish grief support program to a grief accompaniment program that is recognized nationally, with chapters that have expanded globally.

“I lost my beautiful daughter Jennifer on December 16th, 2020. Her death was sudden and unexpected.  She was 41 years old and had a husband and three boys: 3, 9, and 12. She was my girl. She was my heart. My life was never going to be the same. I was never going to be the same.

After going through the motions of the funeral, I didn’t know what to do. I didn’t know how to live without my daughter. I knew I couldn’t do this alone. My husband and I attended a couples workshop and began the grief support group. It was better than I expected. We gained knowledge about grieving the loss of a child. Tears flowed freely and frequently as we shared our stories and how we cope. I didn’t feel alone in my grief when I attended the meetings.

Red Bird Ministries was there, and I am so grateful. For the first time, I am starting to believe I will feel joy again.”
