Flock Certification and Training (Parish)

Let’s define roles:

Chapter: A chapter of RBM is set up and managed by a diocese and run by an advocate assigned to that chapter. An advocate doesn’t have to have a loss, but a desire to bring support to their area. An advocate can be an employee of the diocese, clergy, volunteer, or a layperson. A Chapter Advocate should be organized, a good event planner, able to access the communications part of your diocese, and teachable when it comes to technology. All of this is important to be able to implement support into your diocese. Ideally, a diocese would work towards having one Chapter of RBM in each deanery of the diocese.

Flocks: A flock of RBM is set up and managed by a parish. Usually, a family of loss has a desire to bring RBM into their parish and offer support. A flock leader does not have to have a loss, but a desire to bring grief support to the families inside your parish. A flock leader should be organized, a good event planner, able to access the communications part of your parish, and teachable when it comes to technology.

Each parish + deanery in a diocese that is implementing a RBM Chapter will need to purchase a license to have access to the Red Bird Toolbox which hosts the certification and leaders course. Chapter Advocate Certification $299 | Flock Leader Certification $150
