Episode 10: Surviving the Holidays

He told them, “My soul is crushed with grief to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me.” – Mark 14:34

This week officially starts the holiday season.  Join Elizabeth, Kelly, and Brittany as we share some of our own experiences surviving the holidays through our years of grief and what has worked, or not worked, as we faced the hard days and the holidays without our children.

We are keeping it real as we share laughter and tears and some hard-won wisdom of making our way through the hard days and the holidays.

If you are looking for some additional support this season, look to our Red Bird App!  We have a PDF and Audio versions of a Holiday Grief Meditation and a Grief Meditation available in the Prayer Corner, accessible from the Home Screen. Once in the Prayer Corner, you can look in Prayer Audio or PDF’s & Images to find the Meditations.

If you are a member of our Family Support Toolbox, you can find our virtual retreat “Hope for the Hard Days and the Holidays” under Family Support Toolbox >Retreats>Past Retreats.

We hope both of these resources will bless you.

If you have been touched by this podcast, please consider supporting Red Bird Ministries through #igiveCatholic on November 28th.  Early giving is open now!

Thank you for being with us for Season One of It’s Not for Nothing.  We will return January 22nd with ten new episodes in Season Two.  God bless you and your broken heart.
