Communication is one of the most important aspects of a healthy marriage. It's also one of the most difficult to maintain, especially after the loss of a child.

The death of a child can have a profound impact on all aspects of your life—including communication with your spouse. When you're grieving, it's easy to feel overwhelmed, exhausted, and isolated. And when you're trying to process such an enormous loss, it can be difficult to open up to others and share your experiences with them in order to receive support.

After losing a child, couples often find that they fall into old patterns of communication: blaming each other for their grief or shutting down entirely because there's nothing left inside anymore. This can cause resentment between spouses who are already struggling with their own feelings about what happened.

But communication is crucial for healing—and it doesn't have to be painful! In fact, if you learn how to communicate effectively during grief then it will actually help heal your marriage instead of hurting it further down the line.

This 33-guide is a consecration to the Holy Family. We take you on a walk with modern-day saints, St. Louis and St. Zelie Martin, along with us modern-day sinners, toward healing and restoration. Our hope is that you enter into this guide with an open heart ready to be yoked to your spouse through the heartache of loss, but with a desire to be healed by the Divine Physician. The best part of this journey is that you can do this in the privacy of your home. As you unpack these questions, and prayers allow the Holy Spirit to equip you with the questions and space for important conversations to begin to happy.

Leaders Guide Usage:

Congrats on taking the first step to becoming a leader of this ministry! We are so excited that you have decided to dedicate your time and talents to helping others in the midst of their child loss journey.

As a leader, you will be the one who is helping to make sure that each couple has the resources and tools they need to support each other through their grief. You'll also be leading small groups where couples meet together in community with other couples who are experiencing similar losses. These groups help couples find support, encouragement, and healing as they navigate their grief—and they can also be a great place for them to share their story with someone who understands what they're going through.

We hope you'll take some time now to read through this guide so that you feel empowered and confident in your new role as an advocate for couples experiencing child loss. As always, don't hesitate to reach out if you need anything!
