Welcome

Welcome to our newest team member, Brittany Primeaux. We are so excited to welcome you to the team as our new Diocesan and Parish Team Support. Brittany will be in charge of growing our Diocesan Chapter and Parish Flocks. She will assist in training our new leaders to facilitate in-person grief events and groups in their community and create more opportunities for leaders to support and accompany families of loss.

I'm Brittany Primeaux from Lafayette, LA. I met and married my husband at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist. Being Married for 11 years, they have experienced the greatest of life’s joys and also the most debilitating sorrows. Brittany experienced a heartbreaking miscarriage at home while she was 14 weeks pregnant. Through this devastating loss, she remained hopeful as she found herself pregnant with her second son Leo. Then December 4, 2017, Leo passed away from SIDS.

Being Blessed to work at a Church parish at the time of loss, “I remember walking into our Parochial Vicar’s office. I told that priest ‘I was Faithful. I held onto Faith after our miscarriage, and now this??’” I want to echo that priest's words, as I find they could carry so many who experience this grief.

“He is the same God, Brittany. That God who carried you through the loss of your miscarried baby is the SAME GOD who is carrying you now. He never changes, even when we do” Having the opportunity to work for Red Bird, and encountering families who are experiencing the loss of a child,  is an honor. While this is a group that no one “wants” to be a part of, I’m so happy you have found Red Bird too. We are here for you, and we are praying and holding your entire family close in prayer!
