Revival, A Grieving Mother’s Retreat
Red Bird Ministries is offering an overnight weekend retreat at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Retreat Center for grieving mothers of all ages, stages, and circumstances from pregnancy through adulthood.
When: June 7-9, 2024
Retreat check-in begins on Friday 3:00 pm EST
Retreat ends on Sunday at 1:00 pm EST.

“Revival” literally means a bringing alive of what was dead, and is something only God himself can do. Revival cannot be achieved by any human efforts, programs, or strategies, no matter how sincere and energetic. After showing the prophet Ezekiel a valley full of dry bones, God explained that they were an image of Israel: spiritually lifeless, barren, and hopeless. Then God commanded, “Prophesy, and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: Behold, I will open your graves, and raise you from your graves, O my people.’”
God alone can put flesh on dry bones and breathe into his people the breath of Divine Life.

Meet Music Ministry Leader
Colleen McKenna
Colleen McKenna is a rare combination of an old soul and a young heart, perfectly expressed through her bright, resonant vocals and evocative storytelling. Her big dreams and fearless ambition carried her beyond small town Ohio and landed her in Nashville, TN where she found her sound among the classic country music she was raised on. At just 19, McKenna's writing style is wise beyond her years, as she sings about love, heartbreak, and loss while keeping her faith at the center of it all. She has explored various spheres of the music industry, collaborating with a worship music collective to release her debut singles Revival and Gethsemane in 2021, and independently released her debut country EP Rewind in 2022. Now, she is eager to open a new chapter of music that blurs the line between Christian and Country genres to speak to the human experience and glorify God. Her latest EP “Broken Record", a chronological story of heartbreak to healing is out now on all streaming platforms.
Retreat Support Services Included:

Small Groups
The retreatants will be grouped with their peers based on the age of their child at the time of the loss.

Counseling
Retreatants have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with a professional grief counselor.

Spiritual Direction
Retreatants can meet one-on-one with a certified spiritual director to discuss how grief has impacted their relationship with God.

Group Leader
Each participant will be paired with a peer leader of the same age of loss.
Retreat Center Information & Prices
Upon entry into each villa building, you will encounter a comfortable gathering room equipped with multiple seating options, a dining table, and a library. Just beyond the gathering room is an up-to-date communal kitchenette furnished with a coffee maker, microwave, and refrigerator. The retreat center has 4 private rooms with one double bed and 22 shared rooms with two beds. Shared rooms can be converted into private rooms and will include two beds but without a roommate.
Shared Room – $450
Shared rooms are equipped with two beds, a private bath, and a screened-in porch
Private Room – $550
Private rooms are equipped with a private bath and screed-in porch.

Registration opens on March 1, 2024, and closes on May 31, 2024.

Refunds
No refunds will be given within 30 days of the retreat. Refunds will only be given via store credit to be used for future retreats or materials.

Financial sponsorships are provided but not guaranteed. Retreatants that have not made the retreat will be given sponsorships first. Apply for a scholarship here.

If you are traveling from another state, please arrange your transportation to and from the retreat center.

The closest airports to the retreat center are the Sarasota Bradenton International Airport (SRQ), 37 minutes, or the Tampa International Airport (TPA), 1 hour and 18 minutes.
